With robots entering everyday life, new challenges regarding risks, responsibility, and ethical considerations arise. With speakers, workshops and open-panel discussions, this year's KVIT conference brings together students, researchers, industry and legislators to explore how we can address these challenges together.

The vision for the conference is grounded in these questions:

What are the risks and values associated with more robots?

How do we collaborate on and enable sustainable development of robotics in society?

What roles should robots have in society?

Do we want a future with more robots, how should it look like?

KVIT 2027 is the annual student-driven conference on Cognitive Science and Information Technology, bringing together students, researchers, experts, and anyone interested in the intersection between humans and technology. Since 1992, KVIT has aimed to spread knowledge, spark curiosity, and create a space for discussion on current and future-oriented topics. This year’s theme, “Robots in Society” focuses on how robots can be used responsibly to improve lives, societies, and the world at large. The conference features session-style talks from inspiring speakers, providing a platform to share ideas, gain insights, and build valuable connections with peers, academics, and industry professionals. KVIT is more than just a series of lectures. It is an opportunity to discuss the most pressing questions about robots in society, explore both opportunities and challenges with novel implementations of robots, and hear perspectives from those shaping the field. Attendees are invited to explore questions such as: what roles should robots have in society? Do we want a future with more robots, how should it look like? KVIT 2027 is a full-day open-door event at Campus Valla, Linköping, allowing students, researchers, and industry to meet and discuss today's issues.
